The main program at Meals4Israel is Soup Kitchen Meals. The program
is dedicated to help fund soup kitchens, enabling them to
continue to provide hot, nourishing meals in their soup kitchens.
Currently,
Meals4Israel helps with the funding of 24 soup kitchens in Israel. 24 kitchens
which provide over 250,000 meals per month to hungry Israelis across the
country.
At soup kitchens, meals are made available to anyone who needs them.
Anyone who enters a soup kitchen can receive a meal at
no cost. Meals are provided indiscriminately and most kitchens offer both
breakfast and lunch meals. Due to the high costs, not all kitchens can
afford to provide dinner. Make a Donation Now!

Thanks to the help of thousands of volunteers all over Israel,
Meals on Wheels delivers food directly to addresses across the country.
This addresses a common problem, embarrassment of having to come to soup
kitchens, especially for families with children.
Meals are delivered to homes at absolutely no cost. In many
cases, meals are left at the door step of the families to
help avoid embarrassment.
For those that live in remote areas
in Israel and cannot afford the cost of daily transportation,
and elderly people who simply cannot travel to soup kitchens,
this program is the lifeline to receive food. Make a Donation Now!

Another unique program offered at Soup Kitchens are Food Baskets.
Families can come by at lunch and pickup a basket containing
the basic necessities for an entire day. Due to the high costs of running
soup kitchens for the entire day, this program helps solves many problems.
Soup kitchens
also provide food baskets that contain fruits, vegitables
and produce that are meant to sustain families in their homes for an entire
week. These are provided as a suppliment to the meals they might already
receive at soup kitchens.
For those who can't travel daily to the soup
kitchens, baskets are also sent to neighborhoods and then picked up by
the intended recipients who literally survive on this life line of food.
Baskets are also specially prepared for families with infants that contain
formula and produce that are essential for the heal of the babies. Make a Donation Now!

In observance of holidays and Shabbat, some soup kitchens cannot remain open
during these times. For these occasions, kitchens provide specially packed
meals on Fridays that include a festive Sabbath meal for entire families.
The same is done on high holidays. Meals are specially prepared to allow
everyone to observe and enjoy their holiday. Kitchens that
do remain open for the Sabbath and holiday meals, prepare festive meals in
the soup kitchens for the hundreds that come to eat.
For Passover, money that
is raized during the entire year is used to prepare specially made boxes that
contain kosher for Passover food for families and individuals for the duration
of the holiday. Make a Donation Now!

Simcha means "Celebration". Therefore Simcha Meals
are intended for events such as Bar Mitzvah's or Weddings. This
is a very unique program that provides meals to families
for the celebrations of loved ones. Soup kitchens are transformed into
reception areas, and allow small families to celebrate their simcha. Food isn't where it ends. Volunteering Rabbis are brought in, upon request
of the families, and preside over the ceremonies. In addition, specially
prepared boxes of gifts are provided to the young couples with basic necessities
for their new homes.
